1. OVERVIEW
noots ("the app") is a notes, tasks, and journal application built
with privacy as a core design principle. This policy explains what
data the app handles and why.

2. DATA STORAGE
All notes, tasks, journal entries, categories, and settings you
create are stored locally on your device. We do not operate any
servers and we never receive, transmit, or have access to your
content.

3. NO ACCOUNTS, NO TRACKING
The app requires no account, email address, or registration.
The app contains no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no trackers,
and no third-party data collection of any kind.

4. OPTIONAL ICLOUD SYNC
If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your data is synchronized
between your own devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This data
is protected with end-to-end encryption and stored in your private
iCloud account. We cannot access synced content.

5. DEVICE PERMISSIONS
• Face ID / passcode: used only to lock and unlock the app locally.
Biometric data never leaves your device.
• Microphone: used only when you tap the voice input button to
dictate a note. Audio is processed on-device.
• Speech Recognition: used to transcribe your dictation on-device.

6. IN-APP PURCHASES
Optional tips are processed by Apple via StoreKit. We receive no
payment details — only confirmation from Apple that a purchase
occurred.

7. YOUR CONTROL
You can delete any entry at any time, and deleting the app removes
all locally stored data. You can export your entries from within
the app.

8. CHILDREN
The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from
anyone, including children.

9. CHANGES
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this
URL and within the app.
